Jordan Ayew gets Ghana call for Afcon qualifier

Olympique Marseille teenager Jordan Ayew has been invited by Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac for next month’s 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland.

The 18-year-old has impressed as substitute in the last three matches for the French champions this term.

Jordan will become the third son of African football legend Abedi Pele to play for the Black Stars after brothers Rahim and Andre-both were at this year’s Nations Cup and World Cup finals.

He is pushing for more playing time under head coach Didier Deschamps whose side bounced back on Saturday night with a 2-0 home win over Lorient after two straight defeats.

Jordan scored one goal for Marseille in four Ligue 1 appearances last season.

David Addy and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako have also been invited for the 5 September assignment.
